On Saturday, June 15th, the Moose Riders #426 will host a motorcycle ride to benefit Catholic Charities’ Schuyler Outreach Food Pantry. Registration will take place from 9am-10:30am that morning. At 11am the riders will embark on a beautiful ride along Seneca Lake. This event is open to the public.
Registration is $15 for riders and $5 for passengers. Riders are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item or personal care item for the Schuyler Outreach Food Pantry. Some needed items include cereal, pasta, boxed meals and hygiene products. A complete list of needs can be found here.
“Without the support of organizations like the Montour Falls Moose Lodge, Schuyler Outreach would not have the funding to function at the same level as it does right now. Schuyler County residents depend on the Pantry to provide them with a three day supply of food when they are in need. This event will not only raise funds to purchase food, it is increasing community awareness of hunger in the community and for that I am very thankful,” states Jessie Ketter, Schuyler Outreach Program Coordinator.
