ELMIRA, NY- Catholic Charities cordially invites you to the 9th Annual Empty Bowls Luncheon being held on Tuesday, October 14th from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the Elmira College Campus Center.
As the largest fundraiser for the Catholic Charities’ Samaritan Center, this event coincides with World Food Day and is meant to raise awareness of the effects of hunger on our community. Empty Bowls is unique in that we collaborate with local potters to create handmade, commemorative bowls for each attendee. We also partner with Chris and Andrea Coggins, owners of Soup’s On Café in Elmira, to offer guests delicious homemade soup. It’s the perfect combination of excellent food, beautiful bowls and a worthy cause.
Sponsorship opportunities are available and if you are a skilled potter, we would love the donation of any wheel-thrown or hand-built bowls. Tickets are $30/person, $240/reserved seating for eight. Get yours today and join the partnership to end hunger. For more information, contact Catholic Charities at 607-734-9784 or visit our Empty Bowls’ Event Page.
