WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. – On September 3, 2015, six teams from Mercer Milling were given a challenge – provide three nutritious meals per day for a family of four, for one week, with only $100. TeamBuilding-HungerChallenge

This challenge was given during a team building event hosted at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel. When the teams returned from Walmart, their food choices were judged according to nutritional value and content. Hannah Kinsella, Hunger Education Coordinator at the Food Bank and Catholic Charities’ Pantry Coordinator, Kris Morseman, were two of the guest judges. Kris recognized the teams for donating the food to help Schuyler County Residents – “Mercer helped feed 5 families this afternoon (at the Pantry) and there is still more food to distribute tomorrow! What a great team-building activity!”
