WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. – Catholic Charities, in partnership with the Schuyler County Youth Bureau, operates the Runaway and Homeless Youth Program of Schuyler County. This program is dedicated to serving youth, ages 10-20, in crisis in our community. Appointment transportation, conflict resolution/mediation, emergency services (food, clothing, safety planning) and a 24/7 crisis hotline are all provided. Youth can call or text 607.742.9629 at any time to reach an Advocate who will help them navigate their situation.
The program is also seeking Volunteer Host Homes. These families would provide a safe environment for a runaway youth in Schuyler County. Families must complete an application and receive training before welcoming youth into their homes. The youth we serve rely on the generosity of the Volunteer Host Home Families to open their hearts and homes to youth in times of crisis. If you are interested in becoming a host home, or would like more information on the process, please email Hannah or call her at 607.535.2050, ext. 206.
Catholic Charities appreciates your support as we strive the meet the needs of our community together. More information can be found on our website page.
