Elmira, NY– Catholic Charities recently held their Annual Meeting on Wednesday, December 9 at beautiful Elmira College.  The night included client stories and awards for key community members that make the work of Catholic Charities possible.  Honorees included Board Member Smith Paulison, local landlords and business partners.  Below is a list of awards and recipients:

Lifetime Service Award - Smith Paulison

The Lifetime Service Award was presented to Smith Paulison.  “It is not a stretch to say that Catholic Charities would not be where they are today without Smitty’s leadership,” states Anthony Barbaro, Associate Diocesan Director, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester. “Smitty was an advisor to me for several years when I first became CEO in 1985 and he was instrumental in our taking-over the Community Residence in 1983 and the building of its current location.  He was the backbone of the Gateways Advisory Council which formed in the late 80’s and has had a significant role on Catholic Charities’ board for over 10 years.
