Catholic Charities of Schuyler County would like to welcome Veronica Mintegui as the Schuyler County Nutrition Outreach and Education Program Coordinator. Veronica can help you find out if you may be eligible to participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). SNAP can help stretch your monthly food budget so you can get the nutritious food you need to stay healthy.

You will find Veronica at various community locations educating people on the benefits of school breakfast and using SNAP to stretch their grocery dollars. “I love interacting with the community and giving them the help and assistance they need,” Veronica commented. She is available via email or 607-535-2050, ext. 210.cans_food pantry

With new income limits expanded on July 1, 2016, more working people may be able to get SNAP—even if they were denied benefits in the past. Veronica can help you find out if you may be eligible to participate in SNAP. She is able to guide you through the entire application process, answering any questions you have along the way. And, just like all of our services at Catholic Charities, it’s free and confidential. Please call her for a pre-screening over the phone to see if you may qualify.

We are grateful for the continued support of the Schuyler County community as we work together to meet the needs in our community.
