ELMIRA, NY- Catholic Charities cordially invites you to the 11th Annual Empty Bowls Luncheon being held on THURSDAY, October 20th from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the Elmira College Campus Center. As the largest fundraiser for the Catholic Charities’ Samaritan Center, this event coincides with World Food Day and is meant to raise awareness of the effects of hunger on our community. Empty Bowls is unique in that we collaborate with local potters to create handmade, commemorative bowls for each attendee. We also partner with Barb & Mark McClure, owners of McClure’s NY Deli in Elmira, to offer guests delicious homemade soup. It’s the perfect combination of excellent food, beautiful bowls, and a worthy cause.
Tickets are $35/person for lunch and a commemorative soup bowl, $280/reserved seating for eight or $20/person for lunch only (no bowl included). Get your tickets today as a limited number will be sold. For more information, contact Catholic Charities at 607-734-9784 or visit the event page.
