Catholic Charities of Chemung/Schuyler has had the distinct honor of employing Kathy Dubel for the past 35 years. In fact, July 1st marks Mrs. Dubel’s 36th year! This tremendous accomplishment was marked with awards at the local and regional level.
Locally, Mrs. Dubel received Philanthropist of the Year Award at Catholic Charities of Chemung/Schuyler’s Annual Gala in April. Mrs. Dubel received this award for her devotion to Catholic Charities’ mission of serving the poor and vulnerable. She has made it her mission to foster a culture of life and love by addressing a wide spectrum of issues touching human life, dignity, and rights.
Regionally, Mrs. Dubel was bestowed the Bishop Matthew Clark Award at Catholic Charities of the Diocesan of Rochester’s Annual All Boards Convening in May. This is the highest Diocesan award given in recognition of her 35 years of dedication and commitment to education and advocacy. Mrs. Dubel’s efforts stretch far beyond the borders of the Diocesan, to include Catholic Relief efforts around the world. She is truly a leader of social justice.
