Meeting Critical Needs together
- The Samaritan Center is Chemung County’s hub for emergency services - including eviction prevention, housing assistance, and more - and is home to one of the largest food pantries in our community. In 2021, we provided relief to over 2,010 individuals.
- The Schuyler Outreach in Watkins Glen provides food and hygiene items and is one of the county’s largest pantries. At Schuyler Outreach, we served over 685 people this year.
- Our Elmira Community Kitchen provided 35,740 to-go meals to the hungry – at no cost to them.
- The Second Place East Homeless Shelter provided shelter to 648 individuals at either our shelter facility or at local motels. 109 of those people were children 17 or younger.
