Inspired by the Gospel and Catholic Social Teaching, our mission is to help fulfill Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester’s commitment to build a just and compassionate society rooted in the dignity of all people by reducing poverty, promoting healthy individual and family life, collaborating with faith communities and advocating for justice and peace.

We are committed to serving all individuals in need – regardless of racial, ethnic, cultural or religious origins, ability to pay, or mental, physical or developmental challenges.

The Catholic tradition teaches that human dignity can be protected and a healthy community can be achieved only if human rights are protected and responsibilities are met. Therefore, every person has a fundamental right to life and a right to those things required for human decency.

Corresponding to these rights are duties and responsibilities – to one another, to our families, and to the larger society.
