Dear Prospective Homebuyer:
Thank you for your interest in the First-Time Homebuyer Program! You are invited to our next Pre-Purchase Home Buyers Workshop.
In the workshop you will learn about goal setting, financial fitness, creditworthiness, working with a lender, what an affordable mortgage is, working with a realtor, the home inspection, responsibilities of being a successful homeowner and more!
THIS INFORMATIVE WORKSHOP IS A REQUIREMENT FOR THOSE SEEKING ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE CITY OF ELMIRA’S FIRST TIME HOME BUYER PROGRAM.
Our workshop is available VIRTUALLY via a scheduled ZOOM workshop.
Tuesday, February 16 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM – Part I
Thursday, February 18 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM – Part II
Monday, February 22 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM – Part III
(Attendance to all parts of the chosen workshop is required to receive a certificate of completion.)
We welcome a $20 donation to help cover the cost of materials for the training.
Services are not denied if an applicant is unable to pay.

Please note: the down-payment assistant grant is only for purchase in the City of Elmira – but anyone is welcome to participate in the workshop.
