Celebrating 20 years of serving victims of domestic violence through our First Step Victim Services Program. Join us during October, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, as we raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence in our communities.

Saturday, October 14th; 9:30am-Noon
Schuyler Outreach Food Pantry (St. Mary’s Center, 112 10th St, Watkins Glen, NY 14891)
Registration: 9:30 am; Hike: 10:30 am.

We’ll be walking the Watkins Glen Gorge after meeting at the Pantry. The Main Entrance of the Park is closed, so we will be using the Upper or South Entrance. Hikers may choose which entrance based on their preference to walk up or down the Gorge. A Shuttle will be available to take Hikers to the Entrance or you may move your vehicle and start at the Entrance of your choice. The Shuttle can bring you back to your vehicle at Outreach when you are done with the Hike. Printed maps will be provided. Download a Map App.

Optional Registration Donation: $5 gift card to a local restaurant, grocery store or gas station to be given to victims of domestic violence in our program.

Bring your family & friends out to take a hike & make the community aware of domestic violence and the resources to help those in need of advocacy and support!

Meet at the Pantry to register & drop off your donations. For more information, contact Katie at 607.734.9784, ext. 2133. Parking – available at the Watkins Glen State Park for a fee ($8) or Street Parking is available near the gorge.

New First Step Hoodies will be available for a suggested donation of $30. Purple First Step T-Shirts will be available for a suggested donation of $15 for adult sizes & $10 for children’s sizes.
