The Elmira Community Kitchen will serve Thanksgiving Dinner from 2-3 PM on Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 24. Located at 160 High Street, Elmira, (Saints Peter and Paul Church community center), the Elmira Community Kitchen has served Thanksgiving Dinner annually since 1981. All are welcome!
Donations of fresh tangerines and bakery-made pies are most welcome. To donate food items, please call 734-9784 ext 2135 by Wednesday, November 16. All volunteer slots are currently full for serving dinner.
Meals are served daily Monday through Friday and the last Saturday of the month year-round, as well as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. More than 19,000 neighbors came to the Elmira Community Kitchen for meals January-September 2016.
Donations are needed to help keep the Elmira Community Kitchen operating during 2017. Checks payable to Catholic Charities (memo: Elmira Community Kitchen) can be mailed to: Catholic Charities, 215 East Church Street, Elmira 14901.
